We read so many books in a month it would be impossible to share them all, but these are a few of our favorites from this past month!
Bugs
Ladybugs: Red, Fiery, and Bright
Boy of the Pyramids: A Mystery of Ancient Egypt
Available used on Amazon or new from SimplyCharlotteMason.com this fiction chapter book was our bedtime read aloud this month. In conjunction with our other history reading and Story of The Word reading, this book sparked lots of imaginative play with our Egyptian Playmobil sets.
The Curse of King Tut's Mummy
A nonfiction chapter book for younger readers! It was our random lucky find at the library this month. At a reading level of 4.6 it is a lot of words for Aidan, but he does great when we take turn reading pages. So well written that Aidan didn't realize it was nonfiction until we read another history book that talked about the event from another point of view.
The Curse of King Tut's Mummy
A Little Peace
We have also been reading part of the book of Proverbs this month. Nothing too in depth, just a basic overview.
Just for fun, Kylee's current *read 10 million times per day* favorites
We are finished with seven weeks of school this year already, which I can hardly believe. Next week we are doing some review and wrapping up some loose ends (including finishing a few books) and then we are taking one week off. Tim has the week off and his mom is coming to visit us for the first half of the week and then we are going camping to celebrate Tim's birthday.
Last year I made a rainbow cake, wait until you see our cupcake camping solution!
